The carbon fibre pushrod system is designed to solve the control problems normally associated with ligh weight model aircraft.

now available to the model builder are these dedicated fittings made to create a light weight pushrod system

wrap 003
M 105 M 104

made of 1.5mm & 2mm carbon fibre these pushrods are stiff at length, and are perfect for the depron models

weight of each 20cm 1.5mm pushrod is 1.5g

weight of each 33cm 2mm pushrod is 1.7g

weight of two clevis's is .05g

weight of each control horn is .05g

weight of each complete 2mm pushrod per servo is 2.7g

this is the clear advantage when using made for the job fittings

piano wire pushrods can put as much as 20% of the total weight on a light depron foam model, reducing the thrust to weight retio,

drawing more amps and reducing performance and battery and motor life,

M 007

control horns simply click together with two tiny barbs set at 3mm and 6mm a brilliant idea and British made

once you have used these made for the job products you will wonder what on earth you were fiddling and wasting time with bit of piano wire, not to mention the weight

how to fit a pushrod on to your model

First, centre all the servo’s to 90 degrees from the direction of the pushrod line

(important; once cut and glued, you will have no adjustment of the pushrod)

Using a straight lollypop stick and two clothes pegs, clamp the control surface straight & level to the wing/stab.

Begin with the servos fitted in position, take the carbon rod and (using cyano) glue one clevis to one end of the carbon rod,

Next, fit one clevis to the control horn,

Now, fit the pushrod with the clevis, into position, and mark and cut the rod to the length required,

Then refit to double check that the pushrod fits without pushing the control surface out of true.

Finally, when satisfied with the fit, glue with a small dab of cyano in situ, and when dry, add additional glue if necessary.

Repeat the above, with all control surface’s,

For biplane models repeat this using the second clevis hole to connect both ailerons of each wing, as with a 4 aileron model’s.
